...A cold front and squall will impact portions of Douglas,
northwestern Elbert, southwestern Arapahoe and east central
Jefferson Counties through 900 AM MST...
At 810 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a squall line extending
from near Tiny Town to 3 miles northwest of Palmer Lake, or along a
line extending from 16 miles southwest of Denver to 22 miles
northwest of Colorado Springs. Movement was east at 35 mph. This
will cross I-25 in Douglas county in the next 20 minutes with low
visibility and a rain/snow mixture.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and low visibility.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker, southern Littleton, Elbert,
Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Roxborough Park, Elizabeth, Kiowa,
Larkspur, Perry Park, The Pinery, Louviers, Franktown, Chatfield
Reservoir, Ponderosa Park and Castle Pines.

PLAINS...
The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 8 AM to 5 PM MST Wednesday.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 215, 216, 238, 239, 240,
241, 243, 244, 245, 246, 247 and 249.
* Timing...8 am to 5 pm MST Wednesday
* Winds...West 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 80 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 15 percent.
* Impacts...Conditions will be conducive to the rapid spread of
new fires. Probability of ignition will increase. Avoid any
burning or outdoor activities that may cause sparks, and abide
by established fire restrictions.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages will be possible. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will
blow around unsecured objects. Blowing dust will reduce visibility
to less than a quarter mile in places.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds and low humidity will create
critical fire weather conditions on the plains.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
