Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 239, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244,
245, 246, 247 and 249. This includes all of the lower elevations
except the northeast plains and eastern Larimer/northwest Weld
Counties.
* Timing...10AM to 7PM Saturday.

single digits) will continue to produce widespread critical fire
weather conditions across the lower elevations. The strongest
winds and highest fire danger will be focused across areas closest
to the foothills. There, Red Flag conditions may persist for a
prolonged period, extending through late evening as winds increase
late in the day.
On Monday, winds will be stronger, with gusts of 40-50 mph
becoming widespread for the lower elevations. Although some
moderation in humidity levels is anticipated (some warned areas
may bottom out between 15-20%), critical conditions are likely
given the substantial wind speeds.

West winds will strengthen today and combine with very low
humidity (locally into the single digits) to result in widespread
critical fire weather conditions for the lower elevations. The
strongest winds and highest fire danger will be focused across
areas closest to the foothills. There, Red Flag conditions may
persist for a prolonged period, extending through late evening as
winds increase late in the day.
On Monday, winds will strengthen considerably, with gusts above
40-50 mph becoming widespread for the lower elevations. Although
some moderation in humidity levels is anticipated (some warned
areas may bottom out between 15-20%), critical conditions are
likely given the substantial wind speeds. An additional northward
expansion of headlines remains possible for Monday if humidity
trends lower.

.The warm, dry and windy conditions will persist through the rest
of the day. Therefore the Red Flag Warning for the northern urban
corridor and northern plains will remain in effect until 6 PM
this evening.
On Sunday, it will be evening drier in some areas with minimum
humidities along with another round of gusty winds. The strongest
winds are expected to be along the foothills from Boulder south
and on the plains southeast of Denver, as well as in Park county.
Therefore a Red Flag Warning will be in effect for these areas
from 11 AM to 6 PM Sunday.
Fire weather conditions will remain high on Monday. It will be
windier, with gusts up to 60 mph over the mountains and east
slopes, up to 50 mph near the foothills, and 30-40 mph on the
plains. In spite of the higher humidities, critical fire weather
conditions are again possible over the plains.
