...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northeastern Douglas,
northwestern Elbert and southwestern Arapahoe Counties through 515 PM
MDT...
At 451 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
capable of producing a landspout tornado along a line extending from
11 miles northeast of Ponderosa Park to near Louviers, or along a
line extending from 46 miles west of Limon to 15 miles south of
Denver. Movement was north at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Landspouts possible and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Landspout tornadoes can damage mobile homes, roofs,
vehicles, and trees. Outdoor objects may be tossed about.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Aurora, southern Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Parker,
eastern Littleton, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Louviers, Sedalia and The
Pinery.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
If a tornado is spotted seek shelter inside a sturdy building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for
northeastern and east central Colorado.
