Winds gusting up to 55 mph across the plains will create hazardous travel conditions especially this afternoon and evening. The strongest winds will occur just east of I-25, while the heaviest snow may occur in and near the Front Range Foothills and Palmer Divide. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible. Precipitation beginning as rain and low confidence in temperatures are leading to lower confidence in the total snow amounts.
