URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...WINTER COMING BACK TO COLORADO WEDNESDAY...
.An approaching storm system will spread snow into the mountains
later tonight, and from north to south across eastern Colorado on
Wednesday. The snow will diminish on the plains late Wednesday night
and in the mountains Thursday morning. The heaviest snow will be in
the mountains north of Berthoud Pass. On the plains, areas north and
east of Fort Morgan will be favored along with areas near the
foothills. There is also potential for a band of heavier snow
elsewhere, but this is uncertain. Snow amounts will be 2 to 6 inches
in most areas, but up to 20 inches in the higher mountains north of
Berthoud Pass.
With snow beginning during the day Wednesday, driving conditions may
deteriorate substantially around rush hour Wednesday afternoon.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 10
and 20 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass.
* WHEN...Snow will be heaviest late tonight and Wednesday morning,
then lighter snow will continue through Wednesday night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult due to snowpacked roads
and blowing snow, especially Wednesday morning.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Consider avoiding travel during the worst conditions on Wednesday.
