...STRONG, GUSTY WINDS WITH PASSING SHOWERS...
Showers moving off the foothills and across the Denver and Boulder
metro areas and Palmer Divide will produce strong, gusty winds.
Wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph can be expected across the Denver metro
and Palmer Divide until 830 pm, with gusts as high as 70 mph near
the base of the foothills including Boulder and Golden.
Use caution if traveling this evening, and consider avoiding
travel in a high profile vehicle.
Winds will weaken somewhat after the showers move through. Brief
periods of rain and snow can be expected, but just a dusting of
snow accumulation would be possible on the grass or elevated
surfaces.

tonight. Expect winter travel conditions by tonight with icy and
snow packed roads. Snow will gradually diminish later tonight.
