...Thunderstorms will impact portions of northeastern Douglas,
Arapahoe and south central Denver Counties through 445 PM MDT...
At 415 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking thunderstorms capable of
producing a landspout tornado along a line extending from 6 miles
south of Byers to Centennial, or along a line extending from 38
miles northwest of Limon to 10 miles south of Denver. Movement was
southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Landspouts possible.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Landspout tornadoes can damage mobile homes, roofs,
vehicles, and trees. Outdoor objects may be tossed about.
Locations impacted include...
Denver, Aurora, Centennial, eastern Highlands Ranch, northwestern
Parker, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Bennett, Byers, Buckley SFB,
Arapahoe Park and Strasburg.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
If a tornado is spotted seek shelter inside a sturdy building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for
northeastern and east central Colorado.
