...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CAUSE SLICK ROADS FOR THE FRIDAY
AFTERNOON/EVENING COMMUTE...
.A cold front will result in snow beginning after noon across metro
Denver, Boulder, the foothills to the west, and the Palmer Divide.
Roads may initially remain wet with light snow falling during the
afternoon hours, but after sunset snow rates should pick up with
banded snowfall, and cooling air and road temperatures leading to
slick conditions during the evening commute, including the I-25,
I-70, and US-285 corridors.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2-5 inches.
Winds gusting as high as 25 mph.
* WHERE...The Southern Front Range Foothills, Boulder and the
western suburbs of Denver, Denver, and Castle Rock.
* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 11 PM MST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous after
sunset. The hazardous road conditions are expected to impact the
Friday evening commute.
