...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of south central
Larimer and northeastern Boulder Counties through 230 PM MDT...
At 204 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pinewood Springs, or 25 miles southwest of Fort Collins, moving east
at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lyons, Carter Lake, Pinewood Springs and Allenspark.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
