...Critical fire conditions for the southern Foothills today...
.A narrow corridor of warm and dry conditions is expected today
over the southern Foothills. As winds and wind gusts increase
later this morning and into the afternoon, critical fire
conditions will develop. Fire danger will lessen this evening and
overnight as winds subside and relative humidity increases.

THIS AFTERNOON FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE SOUTHERN
FOOTHILLS...
The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 11 AM this morning to 5 PM MST this afternoon.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 216.
* Timing...11 AM to 5 PM MST Monday.
* Winds...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 13 percent.
* Impacts...Strong winds combined with low relative humidity may
cause new fire starts to rapidly spread and grow where.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
