Hello, apologies if you're seeing this twice but cross-posting for wider distribution. I am writing to ask you to participate in a webinar to gather feedback on changes to how the NWS communicates weather information.

The NWS is proposing to streamline and simplify our Watch/Warning Advisory system by eliminating all Advisory, Special Weather Statement (SPS), and Short Term Forecast (NOW) headlines. All the sub Watch/Warning level information would be conveyed in a single plain-language statement. You can view a 1-page document describing the changes here.

NWS Headquarters has scheduled a series of interactive Partner Webinars to present these proposed changes and collect feedback. I ask that you participate in one of them. ALL NWS partners and key stakeholders are welcome to attend these webinars. The general public will be polled separately as the third and final piece of this feedback process via a public survey.
