The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, which is in effect
from noon to 8 PM MDT Wednesday.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 212...217 and 218.
* Winds...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Timing...Wednesday afternoon into early evening.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 11 percent.
* Impacts...Fires will be able to start and spread easily and
quickly
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

The National Weather Service in Denver Colorado has issued a
* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Eastern Gilpin County in central Colorado...
* Until 215 PM MDT.
* At 1248 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Central City, Black Hawk and Aspen Springs.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
creeks and streams, roads and roadside culverts. The heavy rains
could also trigger rock slides or debris flows in steep terrain.
