...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 PM MST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches,
with locally higher amounts up to 12 inches. Winds gusting as
high as 70 mph, strongest above timberline and exposed eastern
slopes.
* WHERE...East Slopes Park and Northern Gore Ranges, Gore Pass,
Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park and the
Medicine Bow Range and The Mountains of Summit County, the
Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.
* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 6 PM MST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Widespread blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could
cause tree damage. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below
zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30
minutes.
