...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...
* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 75 mph
possible.
* WHERE...The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range,
and the Indian Peaks, The Northern Front Range Foothills and
The Southern Front Range Foothills.
* WHEN...From this evening through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will blow unsecured objects around. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Travel will be difficult for high profile vehicles. In addition
blowing snow over the higher mountain passes will lead to very
poor visbility and difficult travel.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe
location prior to the onset of winds.
