East Slopes Southern Gore Range, Eisenhower Tunnel, Indian Peaks,

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3
feet are possible with this prolonged event. Winds could gust
as high as 60 mph over the mountain passes.
* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park and the
Medicine Bow Range and The Mountains of Summit County, the
Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.
* WHEN...From late Wednesday night through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
Widespread snow and blowing snow could significantly reduce
visibilities at times. The cold wind chills as low as 25 below
zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30
minutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. Expect
winter driving conditions in the mountains for travel on Thursday
and Friday.
