...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of eastern Larimer
County through 745 PM MDT...
At 712 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles south of Crystal Lake Campground to 5
miles southwest of Drake, or along a line extending from 21 miles
west of Cheyenne to 21 miles southwest of Fort Collins. Movement was
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Wellington, Berthoud, Timnath,
Livermore, Stove Prairie, Masonville, Mishawaka, Teds Place, Carter
Lake, Bellvue, Poudre Park, Cedar Cove, Virginia Dale, Buckhorn
Mountain and Drake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
