...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following
county, Weld.
* WHEN...Until 1030 PM MDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1029 AM MDT, Emergency management reported flooding in
the warned area. This includes Sand Creek and Lost Creek.
Numerous roads are closed in southeast Weld County, and water
is flowing over Highway 52 near County Road 73.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
East Lost Creek, Comanche Creek, Rock Creek, Jack Rabbit
Creek, Mule Creek, Kiowa Creek, Sand Creek, West Sand Creek,
and Lost Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible
in the warned area today.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Low lying areas around Roggen and Prospect Valley.
