Our meteorologists are expecting a good system workout this afternoon and evening for the ALERT System.  No serious flood threats are anticipated at this time, but it will be a good opportunity to get some storm monitoring practice via alert5.

Check out some of our newer additions to alert5:

…and watch for Skyview’s F2P2 messages and other forecast products.

Enjoy the activity and be StormReady®.

Hey Kevin,

As I’m sure that you’re well aware, it could be a potentially active afternoon/evening over the District. Initially the threat will be 1hr rainfall this afternoon, but heading into the evening it’s looking like more of a 3 hour threat (the bigger totals). It’s not a High threat, so I don’t think you want to Tweet. However, let me know if you do. Mostly this email is just to make you aware of the day/evening ahead.

This will likely be a great event for training.

Dana
