-Message 1's will be allowed to expire at 9:00pm since the threat for heavy rain has ended.
-A couple of rounds of moderate to strong thunderstorms moved through the District this afternoon and early evening which has stabilized and cooled the atmosphere. Light lingering showers remain to the north of the District, but any moderate to heavy rain is not expected through the evening.
-A slight chance for an isolated light to moderate shower remains this evening before skies begin to clear after midnight. Another chance for rain showers and isolated thunderstorms remains for tomorrow, but the threat for heavy rain looks to be minimal at this time.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Light rain showers will result in a trace to 0.10" in 10-30 minutes. A weak to moderate thunderstorm will produce 0.10-0.30" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A stronger thunderstorm or training of thunderstorms will result in up to 0.8" in 60 minutes.
