Message 1’s will be allowed to expire at 9pm for portions of the District as the threat of heavy rain has come to an end. After a few strong storms for eastern portions of the District, only a few lingering showers remain as thunderstorms continue to move eastward and out of the District. Skies will gradually clear into the late evening, however an additional round of showers with some thunderstorm potential will be possible in the early morning hours Tuesday. Overnight lows will drop into upper 40s to low 50s on the plains with low to mid 40s along the foothills. Another chance for showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, starting as early as midday and lasting through the afternoon and into the early evening. The potential for strong to severe storms will remain, however, cooler overall temperatures, in the low 60s may help limit convection across the Front Range. |
WORST CASE SCENARIO: Strong stationary, or training of thunderstorms has the potential to produce 0.50” in under 60 minutes.
