-Message 1's have been issued for the entire until 8:00pm.
-Thunderstorms have developed over the foothills and eastern portions of the Palmer Divide, and are showing a strengthening trend at this time. Dewpoints are in the mid to upper 40s across most of the District, which will result in a heavy rainfall threat under stronger storms.
-Storm motions are to the E/NE at around 12-17mph. The best chance of heavy rainfall producing thunderstorms will occur through mid to late afternoon, before tapering off to more isolated storms by early evening.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Weak to moderate thunderstorms will produce rainfall amounts of 0.05-0.3" in 10-30 minutes. Strong thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall amounts of 0.3-0.8" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A cluster of strong, slow-moving thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall of up to 1.8" in 60-90 minutes.
