-A string of thunderstorms to the northeast will keep the District under risk for heavy rainfall over the next couple of hours.
-Additional development to the western potions of the District has some concern for additional storm development, along with favorable upper level flow will result in the risk for heavy rain over the District until midnight. After midnight, the threat for heavy rainfall will drop dramatically as a more stable atmosphere moves in for the overnight hours.
-A chance for rain/isolated thunderstorm will remain in place until midnight with the threat for heavy rain diminishing rapidly after midnight.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: A rain shower or isolated thunderstorm will produce 0.10-0.30 in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A stationary rain shower/thunderstorm will produce 0.90" in 60-90 minutes.
