MESSAGE 1'S ISSUED FOR THE ENTIRE DISTRICT
-Message 1's have been issued for the entire District and will be valid from noon to 9:00 PM.
-Showers and thunderstorms have already initiated over the higher terrain of Boulder County. Thunderstorm activity will spread eastward as the day progresses with 1-3 rounds of showers and thunderstorms into the early evening.
-There is a surface wind convergence line that has developed over the central portion of the District with moist air north of it and drier air south. Thunderstorms will likely develop along this convergence line and with ample shear some storms may become strong to severe producing brief heavy rainfall, gusty winds and hail.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Typical rain showers and weak to moderate thunderstorms will produce a trace to 0.3". Strong thunderstorms will have the potential to produce up to 0.3-0.8" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A slower moving strong thunderstorm or training of strong thunderstorm cells may result in up to 1.4" in 45-60 minutes.
