Hot, Dry, and Smokey
Hot and dry conditions continue across the District today, along with smoke skies from the Alexander Mountain wildfire in Larimer County. High temperatures this afternoon will be around 100°F, dewpoints in the mid 20s, and precipitable water (PWAT) values around 0.40”. These conditions will support dry weather today and tonight across the District. Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid 60s with dry conditions persisting tomorrow morning.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Rainfall is not expected in the District today.

A LOOK AHEAD: Tomorrow will be hot and dry with highs in the mid to upper 90s. The long-range forecast remains somewhat underwhelming with the arrival of an upper-level disturbance Thursday. Atmospheric moisture will increase slightly, resulting in PWAT values up to 0.75” and dew points in the mid 40s. No significant precipitation expected with this pattern, but there is a small chance for isolated showers and storms during the afternoon and evening.
