ANOTHER HOT AND DRY DAY WITH CLOSE TO RECORD BREAKING HEAT
-High-pressure continues to dominate over the region today leading to near record breaking temperatures with highs in the mid to upper 90's across the District with mid to upper 80's along the foothills. the record high temperature for Denver today is 97 set in 2013 which could be tied or broken this afternoon.
-Mostly sunny skies today with hazy conditions due to wildfires still burning in the high country. Breezy today with winds from the N/NW at 5-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Combined with low RH values will bring and increased fire danger today.
-Overnight lows will drop into the mid to upper 50's on the plains with upper 40's to around 50 along the foothills.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No precipitation expected today or this evening.

A LOOK AHEAD: Monday will be the last hot day through the rest of the week as a powerful storm system moves into the region overnight bringing rain/mix showers overnight with a mix/snow early Tuesday morning. Rain/Mix/Snow chances continue through the day Tuesday and into early Wednesday morning. A dramatic shift in high temperatures from Monday to Tuesday with Monday's highs in the upper 80's to low 90's with Tuesday's high temperatures in the low to mid 30's. A 60 degree 24 hour high temperature swing!
