-Message 1's have been issued for the entire District, valid until 9:00pm this evening.
-Showers and thunderstorms developed over the foothills early this afternoon, and are now transitioning E onto the adjacent plains. As temperatures continue to warm over the coming hours, strong to isolated-severe thunderstorms capable of heavy rainfall are possible.
-The threat for heavy rainfall is greatest over lower elevations, but the threat still exists for the foothills as well. Storms today will track to the ENE at around 12-18mph, with the best chance for a storm over the District persisting through about 8:00pm this evening.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Stronger thunderstorms may produce rainfall amounts between 0.30-0.70" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A slow-moving, strong-to-severe thunderstorm produces rainfall up to 2.00" in 60-90 minutes.
