-Message 1's have been issued for the entire District, valid until 11:59pm this evening.
-After a quiet afternoon, showers and thunderstorms are now developing over the southern foothills. These storms are expected to track NE into the District over the next 1-2 hours, fueled by moist NE surface winds. Outflow boundaries moving into the District from the N & E could trigger additional storms as well.
-Most thunderstorms this evening will produce light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds, but isolated stronger storms cells could produce locally-heavy rainfall.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Stronger thunderstorms may produce rainfall between 0.30-0.70" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A strong, slow-moving cluster of thunderstorms produces rainfall up to 1.70" in 60-90 minutes.
