Heavy Precipitation Outlook
Flash Flood Prediction Program

HOT AND GENERALLY DRY
-Drier air moving in aloft from the NW will result in a generally dry day across the District with above normal temperatures. Highs this afternoon will reach the low to mid 90's over the plains under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Normal high for Denver today is 88 degrees. Winds will become a little breezy at times from the N/NW this afternoon in the 5-15mph range with gusts to 20mph or more possible.
-Conditions are expected to be dry over the District today with any shower or weak thunderstorm activity confined to the foothills and higher terrain of the Palmer Divide.
-Tonight a surge of moist air is expected to move in from the NE which may result in low clouds on Friday morning. No precipitation is expected but some isolated areas of mist cannot be ruled out if the cloud cover is thick enough.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No meaningful precipitation expected today or tonight.

A LOOK AHEAD: Cooler on Friday in the 80's to around 90 over the plains as low level moisture increases. Thunderstorm chances will increase as well with isolated to widely scattered storms possible some of which may become strong to severe with the potential to produce brief heavy rainfall.
