-After a quiet afternoon, outflow boundaries from adjacent storms have triggered thunderstorms over portions of the District. Additionally, a disturbance aloft may help focus additional storm activity this evening.
-Most showers and thunderstorms will produce light to moderate rainfall, but stronger/slower-moving thunderstorms may produce locally-heavy rainfall.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Stronger thunderstorms may produce rainfall amounts between 0.30-0.70" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: Back building or training of strong storm cells results in rainfall up to 1.50" in 45-75 minutes.
