HOT WITH ISOLATED AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS
-Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 90's over the plains today with 80's in the Front Range foothills. Surface moisture has decreased from yesterday but there is enough mid and upper level moisture available to produce isolated afternoon thunderstorms.
-Thunderstorms today will be high-based producing light rainfall and gusty winds. Best chances for thunderstorms will be between 2pm and sunset favoring the higher terrain. Storms will move from W to E at 15-20mph.
-After sunset dry conditions are expected for the remainder of the evening and overnight period.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Rain showers and weak thunderstorms will produce a trace to 0.2" of rain in 10-30 minutes.

A LOOK AHEAD: Temperatures are expected to tack on a couple more degrees on Saturday resulting in some plains locations reaching 100 degrees. There will be a slight chancne for isolated high-based thunderstorms producing minimal rain and gusty winds.
