Heavy Precipitation Outlook
Flash Flood Prediction Program

PLEASANT, WARM, AND DRY FOR SUNDAY
-Northwest flow aloft remains over Colorado on Sunday, as upper-level high pressure builds to our west.
-With limited instability and a drier air mass over the plains today, precipitation is not expected over the next 24-hours.
-Afternoon highs will top out in the low 70s across the District, with breezy northerly winds at times. A few fair-weather cumulus clouds may drift off the mountains onto the adjacent plains later this afternoon and evening.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Precipitation is not expected today or tonight.

A LOOK AHEAD: High pressure expands east on Monday, helping temperatures climb into the upper 70s over the plains. Residual moisture trapped underneath the ridge may produce isolated diurnal showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, but little precipitation is expected.
