Heavy Precipitation Outlook
Flash Flood Prediction Program

HOT, HAZY AND DRY CONDITIONS CONTINUE
-High-pressure has settled in over the region leading to near record breaking heat with high temperatures expected in the upper 80's to around 90 on the plains with upper 70's to low 80's along the foothills.
-West/Northwesterly flow aloft will bring mostly sunny skies today with hazy and dry conditions throughout the day and into this evening. Overnight lows will drop into the mid 50's to low 60's with clear skies overnight.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No precipitation is expected today or this evening. Supplemental QPF is available at https://qpf.udfcd.org

A LOOK AHEAD: Hot and hazy conditions continue Friday as we approach another day with record breaking heat as high temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80's to low 90's. Breezy conditions, combined with low RH values will increase the fire danger for the foothills during the afternoon and early evening Friday as dry conditions persist into the weekend. Similar conditions Saturday with highs in the mid 80's to around 90. A change in the pattern Sunday as a dry cold front moves through the region bringing high temperatures back to a more seasonably mid 70's!
