MESSAGE 1'S ISSUED FOR THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE DISTRICT
-Message 1's have been issued for southern portions of the District including Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson Counties.
-Thunderstorm chances will be minimal north of I-70 but thunderstorms are currently underway over southern areas of the District in Douglas and Jefferson Counties at this time. Strong thunderstorms will be capable of producing brief heavy rainfall, gusty winds and hail.
-Thunderstorms will move from WNW to ESE at around 20mph. If the storms over southern areas of the District produce an outflow boundary/gust front that pushes northward additional Counties may need to be upgraded to Message 1's as well.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Moderate to strong thunderstorm may produce 0.3-0.7" in 10-30 minutes. Slower moving strong thunderstorms or large thunderstorms may produce up to 1.5" in 45-90 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A strong thunderstorm becomes stationary with the potential to produce up to 2.3" in 60-90 minutes.
