MESSAGE 1'S ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF THE DISTRICT WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 11PM
-Message 1's issued for Adams and Arapahoe Counties including Aurora and the DIA portion of Denver County will be allowed to expire at 11pm. The threat for heavy rainfall has now moved E of the District for the remainder of the overnight period.
-A strong/severe thunderstorm developed over Adams County and then moved E/SE through DIA and into Arapahoe County this evening producing heavy rainfall as well as large hail and gusty straight-line winds within its track. The western and southern areas of the District have been storm free and that trend looks to continue into the overnight period with conditions improving over E areas as well.
-Numerous surface boundaries are still present over NE CO and may generate additional thunderstorms this evening but the threat is low enough to allow Messages to expire and if new storms do develop the cooler surface temperatures should result in weaker storms. The chance for a renegade rain shower or thunderstorm will persist into the early morning hours on Friday.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Weak to moderate thunderstorms will have the potential to produce 0.1-0.4" of rain in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A strong to severe thunderstorm is able to develop resulting in heavy rainfall rates of 0.4-1.0" in 10-30 minutes with up to 1.8" in 60 minutes or less.
