MESSAGES WILL CONTINUE VALID
-Message 1's will continue valid until 8:00pm for Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, and Douglas Counties.
-Showers and thunderstorms continue to impact the District late this afternoon, although the intensity of thunderstorms has weakened overall with a cool airmass in place. Still, there remains a chance for an isolated stronger thunderstorm to develop during the next couple of hours, in which case heavy rainfall could occur with sufficient low level moisture in place.
-Later this evening, showers and thunderstorms will gradually give way to more widespread light to moderate rain showers during the overnight period. However, a stable airmass will be in place overnight, which will remove the threat for heavy rainfall.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Weak to moderate thunderstorms will produce rainfall amounts of 0.05-0.3" in 10-30 minutes. Strong thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall of 0.3-0.8" in 10-30 minutes.
