-Conditions will be hot and dry over the District today with temperatures peaking in the mid to upper 90's over the plains with 80's in the Front Range foothills. Record high for Denver today is 99 degrees and has a slight chance of being tied. Normal high for Denver today is 88 degrees.
-Skies expected to be sunny to mostly sunny but there will be some haze due to wildfires over Western Colorado. When temperatures are at or near their peak RH values will bottom out at less than 10% keeping the fire danger high locally.

A LOOK AHEAD: Another hot and dry day on Friday with temperatures continuing in the mid to upper 90's for highs over the plains. A slight chance for a few high-based thunderstorms will return on Saturday afternoon but many areas likely remain on the dry side. Better chances for storms on Sunday and Monday which may provide some much needed moisture.
