-Message 1's have been issued for the entire District, valid until 9:00pm this evening.
-Showers and thunderstorms are currently developing over the foothills, and are expected to move onto the adjacent plains in the next hour. With elevated moisture levels in place and weak steering flow, stronger thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall.
-There could be a lull behind this initial wave of showers and thunderstorms, but additional storm activity is expected to persist across portions of the District into the early to mid-evening hours.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Stronger thunderstorms will produce rainfall amounts between 0.50-1.30" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A slow-moving, strong to severe thunderstorm produces rainfall up to 3.00" in 60-90 minutes.
