MESSAGES WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE
-Message 1's will be allowed to expire at midnight as the threat for heavy rainfall has ended. Conditions are dry across the District at this time but rain showers and possibly a weak thunderstorm may re-develop overnight.
-Thunderstorm activity developing along a gust front from storms over WY has pushed into CO and may reach portions of the District during the early am hours on Wednesday in a much weakened state. In addition a cold front will be moving through likely resulting in low clouds with isolated areas of light rain/mist early tomorrow morning.
-Much cooler on Wednesday with highs only in the 80's over the plains. Coverage and strength of storms tomorrow will hinge upon how much daytime heating is observed as if temperatures stay too cool thunderstorm activity could be muted but if temperatures warm sufficiently storms could be more widespread with the potential for heavy rain.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Rain showers and possibly a weak thunderstorm will produce a trace to 0.3".

WORST CASE SCENARIO: Strong thunderstorms are able to develop in a cooling air mass with the potential to produce 0.04-1.0" in 10-30 minutes.
