Heavy Precipitation Outlook
Flash Flood Prediction Program

ANOTHER HOT, HAZY AND DRY DAY ACROSS THE DISTRICT
-High-pressure continues to hold over the region today leading to another hot day as temperatures rise into the upper 80's to around 90 for the plains, with mid to upper 80's along the foothills. If we are able to hit 90 degrees at DIA this will be the 74th day at or above 90 this year, which would be the new record amount of 90 degree days for Denver.
-As wildfires still impact the Western US, smoke will continue to move over the Rockies and into Colorado resulting in hazy conditions to continue today.
-Overnight lows will drop into the mid 50's to around 60 on the plains, with upper 40's to low 50's along the foothills.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No precipitation expected today or this evening. Supplemental QPF is available at https://qpf.udfcd.org

A LOOK AHEAD: Slightly cooler tomorrow as a weak, dry cold front moves into the region bringing high temperatures into the low to mid 80's. Unfortunately no precipitation is expected with this front and it will only increase the chance for hazy skies with N/NE surface winds throughout the day. Similar conditions through the rest of the week as high temperatures remain above average in the low to mid 80's Thursday and Friday along with dry and hazy conditions.
