Heavy Precipitation Outlook
Flash Flood Prediction Program

LATEST 100 DEGREE DAY IN DENVER HISTORY?
-Strong high pressure centered to the SW will once again result in record heat across the District. Yesterday, the all time September monthly high temperature of 97 was broken with a high of 98 at DIA and temperatures will be even warmer today.
-Temperatures over the lower elevations of the District will peak in the upper 90's to 100 degrees! If temperatures do indeed reach the 100 degree mark it will be the latest 100 degree day by a long shot as currently August 16th is the latest 100 degree day in Denver history.
-Conditions will be dry District wide with plenty of sunshine. Low relative humidity values and record heat will result in high fire danger today.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No precipitation today or tonight.

A LOOK AHEAD: A brief reprieve from the heat on Tuesday as a weak cold front moves through during the morning with highs in the mid 80's over the plains. Moisture will increase behind the front and there will be a few isolated thunderstorms that manage to develop in the later afternoon or evening.
