- | Messages have been issued for the entire District until 10:00pm. |
- | Storms have began to form over the foothills and will remain anchored to the higher terrain at this time. Due to slow/nearly stationary movement, there will be a threat for heavy rainfall across the higher elevations over the next couple of hours before storms eventually move east over the lower elevations of the District. |
- | Moisture remains elevated across the District behind a cold front this morning with dewpoints in the upper 50s to low 60s. Storm movement will be slow and erratic at times as storms form along outflow boundaries, which will result in a threat for heavy rainfall. Additionally, storms today have a good chance to become severe as they move onto the plains bringing strong winds, large hail and heavy rain. The threat for storms will persist into the evening hours before activity gradually diminishes by late evening. |
WORST CASE SCENARIO: A strong thunderstorm stalls along an outflow or wind convergence boundary and produces heavy rainfall of up to 3.0" in 90-120 minutes.
