COOL TODAY WITH A CHANCE FOR RAIN/ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING
-Storms will begin to develop this afternoon, with light rain possible into this evening. Best chance for a thunderstorm over the District will be between 1:00pm-7:00pm with a chance rain will mix with snow this evening with little to no accumulations expected outside of the foothills.
-An unsettled weather pattern has been in place this week bringing chances for rain, and even snow to the District along with cooler than average temperatures. Temperatures today will be in the mid to upper 40's, with mostly cloudy skies throughout the day.
-Lingering upper level support will remain in place today resulting in a chance for rain this afternoon and into this evening. Typical showers and thunderstorms will produce light to moderate rain along with small hail.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Weak to moderate showers and thunderstorms will produce 0.05-0.15" in 10-30 minutes.

A LOOK AHEAD: Cool temperatures and an unsettled weather pattern will result in a chance for rain tomorrow afternoon and evening before high-pressure begins to build over the region Friday, leading to dry, sunny and warm conditions into the weekend with high temperatures reaching the low to mid 70's.
