-Hot today as temperatures reach the low to mid 90's across the District with low to mid 80's along the foothills. Another chance for afternoon and early evening rain showers/isolated thunderstorms, although the threat for heavy rain and severe thunderstorms has diminished, an isolated brief heavy rain cannot be completely ruled out today, favoring eastern portions of the District.

Dew points today will be in the low to mid 40's this afternoon, with highs in the low to mid 90's the biggest threat today will be gusty winds, lightning, small hail, and isolated pockets of heavy rain.
-Best chance for rain showers/isolated thunderstorms will be from 1-8pm, with 1-2 rounds of storms possible. The best chance for moderate to heavy rainfall will be with the first wave of storms, with weaker development possible through sunset. Skies will begin to clear through the overnight and into Thursday with lows dropping into the low to mid 60's.
