-Message 1's have been issued for the entire District until 9pm.
-An upper level disturbance approaching from the southwest is triggering thunderstorms over the foothills at this time. Multiple rounds of showers/thunderstorms are expected across the District this afternoon, some of which could become strong or severe.
-Storms will be relatively fast moving today to the NE at 15-25mph, but strong/severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall in a short period of time with dewpoints in the mid to upper 40s. The best chance of storms and heavy rainfall will be through early evening.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall of 0.3-0.8" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A strong/severe thunderstorm produces heavy rainfall of up to 1.7" in 60 minutes or less.
