-Strong ridge high pressure centered to the SW will result in near record breaking heat today over the District. Highs this afternoon will top out in the mid to possibly upper 90's over the plains under sunny to mostly sunny skies. Record high for Denver today and for the month is 97 degrees set back in 1995.
-Conditions expected to be dry over NE Colorado with a slight chance for a very isolated thunderstorm over far southern Jefferson and Douglas Counties outside the District boundaries.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No precipitation today or tonight.

A LOOK AHEAD: Record breaking heat is expected on Monday with highs in the upper 90's to possibly touching 100 degrees briefly over the plains! Daily record high for Monday is 95 degrees and should be exceeded. The monthly record high temperature of 97 is in jeopardy of being tied or broken.
