Flash Flood Prediction Program

MESSAGES WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 9:00PM
-Messages will be allowed to expire at 9:00pm as the threat for heavy rain has ended.
-A couple rounds of rain and thunderstorms moved through the District this afternoon and early evening bringing light to moderated rain showers. Thunderstorm activity continues to the north but with the loss of daytime heating and a more stable atmosphere in place, only a slight chance remains for additional rain showers or a weak thunderstorm.
-Any additional rain showers or a weak thunderstorm will favor eastern areas of the District over the next few hours. Tomorrow will be another warm day with a chance for afternoon and evening rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Rain showers and possibly a weak thunderstorm will produce a trace to 0.10" in 10-30 minutes, a moderate thunderstorm will produce 0.10-0.30" in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A slow moving, or training of rain showers or weak thunderstorms will produce up to 0.6" in 60 minutes.
