THE SUN MAKES AN APPEARANCE TODAY!
-After days of cool/unsettled weather and cloud cover the sun will make an appearance today as the trough axis has shifted eastward allowing for warmer and drier air to move into NE Colorado.
-Temperatures this afternoon will warm into the upper 60's to lower 70's on the plains under mostly sunny skies. Winds will be picking up from the SW to W into the 10-20mph range with gusts to 25mph or more (strongest in the foothills).
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No precipitation today and tonight.

A LOOK AHEAD: Temperatures will continue to warm over the weekend with highs in the mid 70's over the plains on Saturday and upper 70's to lower 80's on Sunday. Generally dry conditions are expected but isolated afternoon showers and weak thunderstorms will be possible both days, favoring the foothills.
