Heavy Precipitation Outlook
Flash Flood Prediction Program

MUCH COOLER AND BREEZY WITH A FEW RAIN SHOWERS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING
-A cold front is currently moving through the District this morning from N to S and will result in much cooler temperatures today. Highs will most likely be capped in the 50's but a few areas may touch the low 60's briefly. Winds will become breezy at times behind the front from the N/NE at 10-20mph and gusts to 30mph or more possible, weakening later afternoon/early evening.
-Clouds will also be on the increase becoming mostly cloudy to cloudy with a chance for isolated rain showers this afternoon and evening. The best moisture will remain to the N and E of the District resulting in any rainfall being light. Best chances for shower activity will be between 1-10pm. Some foothill locations above 7k may mix with or change over to snow after sunset.
-Tonight temperatures will drop into the 30's over the plains but most locations will remain above the freezing mark. A hard freeze is expected over the foothills and Palmer Divide.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Rain showers will produce a trace to 0.10" of rain in 10-30 minutes. Supplemental QPF is available at https://qpf.udfcd.org

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A weak thunderstorm is able to develop with the potential to produce up to 0.2" of rain in 10-30 minutes.

A LOOK AHEAD: On Monday temperatures will remain a little chilly with highs in the lower upper 50's to 60's under sunny to mostly sunny skies. Tuesday through Thursday temperatures will fluctuate but remain in the 70's for highs over the plains with dry conditions and abundant sunshine.
