Heavy Precipitation Outlook
Flash Flood Prediction Program

DRY WITH NEAR RECORD BREAKING HEAT FOR THE DATE
-Conditions will remain dry over the District today with temperatures topping out in the mid to upper 90's over the plains with 80's in the Front Range foothills. Normal high for Denver today is 89 and the record high is 98 set most recently back in 2012. The record high may very well be tied or broken today at DIA...
-Sunny skies this morning will give way to mostly sunny/partly cloudy skies this afternoon. Any storms that try to develop this afternoon will encounter dry air at the surface resulting in mainly virga, but I suppose a few sprinkles cannot be ruled out over the foothills. No meaningful precipitation is expected.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: No meaningful precipitation is expected today or tonight. Supplemental QPF is available at https://qpf.udfcd.org

A LOOK AHEAD: A cool front will move through overnight and result in highs on Monday reaching the upper 80's to around 90 over the plains. There will be a bit more moisture to work with resulting in isolated afternoon showers/thunderstorms. Many areas may very well continue on the dry side and the storms that do develop are expected to produce generally light rainfall.
