- | A powerful, winter-like low-pressure system slowly moved across the region yesterday and continues to slowly move eastward and onto the plains. Light rain showers are still impacting the southern and eastern portions of the District this morning. |
- | Temperatures will remain cool today with highs in the low 60's on the plains with mid 50's in the foothills. Winds will be gusty today from the N/NW with 10-20mph sustained winds with gusts up to 40mph favoring eastern portions of the District. |
- | As the rainfall tapers off over the next hour or so, partly to mostly sunny skies will fill in over the District with dry conditions expected through the rest of the day. |
A LOOK AHEAD: Dry conditions expected through the week as high-pressure slowly starts to build back in over the region Wednesday. Wednesday's high temperatures will be in the low to mid 70's along with mostly sunny skies. Thursday warms up into the 80's with upper 80's to low 90's Friday. Next chance for rain showers/isolated thunderstorms will be Saturday, although there is no heavy rain threat at this time.
